Privacy policy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no advertising. If you send us a request for a visit, we use it to get back to you about your floor and nothing else.

Who we are
This website is operated by Mobile Floor Coverings, a flooring business in Bellingham, Washington, owned by John Kupka. We sell and install carpet, vinyl plank, hardwood, laminate, tile and stone across Bellingham and Whatcom County, and we bring samples to your home.

This policy covers the website at mobilefloors.biz. It does not cover phone calls, text messages, conversations at your kitchen table or a signed job contract, though the same rule applies there as well: we use what you tell us to do the work you asked for.
What this site is
It is a static, informational website. There are no accounts, no logins, no shopping cart, no payments and no online ordering. There is nothing here to sign up for. The only place you can send us anything is the booking form, and using it is your choice.
What you choose to give us
When you send the booking form, we collect what you typed into it:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- The street address where you want the van to come
- Your town
- Your email address, if you choose to give one — it is optional
- Which materials you ticked
- A preferred day and time window, if you picked any
- Whatever you wrote in the comments box
We ask for the address because a mobile showroom cannot come to you without one, and for the phone number because that is how John gets back to you. We never ask for a Social Security number, a date of birth, a bank account or a card number, and you should not send any of those through a website form.
How the form is handled
This site does not run a mail server of its own. When you press send, the form is sent over an HTTPS connection to a third-party form-delivery service, which turns it into an email and delivers it to our inbox. That service handles the message in transit and keeps a record of the submission so it can be delivered or re-sent. Its own practices are its own and can change, so we describe them in general terms rather than promise specifics we cannot verify for you.
If you would rather not use a form at all, call (360) 671-4693 or email us directly. Nothing about your enquiry has to pass through this website.
We use what you send for one purpose: to get back to you, measure the job and carry out the work if you hire us. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not use your details for advertising, and we do not send bulk email.
What is collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, it records standard server request logs when a page is served. Those logs include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and the information your browser sends by default, such as its user agent string. That is a normal part of serving a website and protecting it from abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything you type into the form.
Nothing loads from anyone else
Every file this site loads — its pages, styles, code, fonts and images — comes from our own domain. Your browser is not sent to another company's server to render a page here, so no outside network learns your IP address simply because you visited. There is no Google Fonts request, so no font data goes to Google.
The only time anything leaves our domain is when you choose to send the booking form, or when you click a link that goes somewhere else, such as our Google or Yelp listing, our Facebook page, or Google Maps. If you never do either, no third party learns anything about your visit.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site sets no cookies of its own. There are no third-party cookies. There is no analytics package, no visitor counter, no heatmap, no session recorder, no advertising network and no tracking pixel from any social platform. We do not know how many people visited a given page, and that is fine with us.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. Because this site does not track visitors across time or across other websites in the first place, there is nothing for that signal to switch off. We do not change our behaviour based on it, and we do not let anyone else track you here.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's advertising. The only parties that handle information from this site are:
- Our website host, which serves the pages and keeps standard request logs
- The form-delivery service that turns a sent form into an email
- Our email provider, which holds the message once it arrives
- The installer who does your job, if you hire us and he needs your address to get there
We would also hand something over if the law required it, which has not happened.
How long we keep it
We keep a request no longer than we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the work. A message that turns into a job stays with that job's paperwork. A message that goes nowhere is deleted from the inbox in the ordinary course of business. We are not going to invent a precise number of days here, because we could not promise it honestly. If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will do it.
Your choices, and how to have your information deleted
You are never required to send a form to use this site. If you have already sent one and want it removed, call (360) 671-4693 or email mobilefloors@gmail.com and tell us the name and phone number you used. We will delete what we hold, other than anything we have to keep for a job we actually did, such as records tied to a contract, a warranty claim, or our tax and business records. You can also ask what we have on file, or ask us to correct it. We will not charge you for asking and we will not treat you differently for asking.
About state and international privacy laws
We are a small flooring business in Whatcom County. The broad consumer privacy statutes people ask about, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation, generally do not apply to a business of our size, and we are not going to claim obligations we do not have. What we will do is treat everyone the same wherever they live, using the phone number or email address above.
This page also serves as the privacy notice that California's Online Privacy Protection Act expects a commercial website to post, and it is linked from the footer of every page on this site.
Children's privacy
This site is aimed at people hiring someone to put a floor in. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us something through the form, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Some pages link out — to our Google listing, our Yelp listing, our Facebook page or Google Maps. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site under someone else's privacy policy. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Security
Pages and form submissions on this site are sent over HTTPS, which protects the contents in transit between your browser and the receiving service. Beyond that, no website can promise perfect security and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Please do not send payment details, account numbers or government identification through the form.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. A material change, such as adding analytics or a new third-party service, will be described here in plain language rather than buried. There are no accounts on this site, so we have no way to email you about a change. Checking this page is how to see the current version.
