What comes out of the van

What we sell

Six materials. Say which ones interest you and the samples come to your house, on the same visit as the measuring.

Bedrooms and stairs

Carpet

Still the warmest and the quietest thing you can put in a bedroom, and the one material where colour choice does most of the work. Bring two or three you like and look at them on the floor they are going on.

Weathered oak-look plank flooring, installed.

Kitchens and wet rooms

Vinyl plank

The one most people ask for now. It takes water, it takes dogs, and it takes a kitchen. Ask to see it next to the hardwood you were originally thinking about — the difference is easier to judge side by side than from a photograph.

Living rooms and halls

Hardwood

Real wood, and it looks like it. Every board is different, so a small sample only tells you so much — this is the material worth seeing in a bigger piece, in the room, before you decide.

Busy floors

Laminate

Hard-wearing, and it has come a long way from the shiny boards people remember. Worth putting next to vinyl plank and hardwood on the same visit, because those three are the choice most people are actually making.

Tile samples in soft neutral tones.

Bathrooms and entries

Tile

Ceramic and porcelain, for the rooms that get wet and stay wet. Grout colour changes the look of a tile floor more than people expect, so decide that at the same time as the tile.

Stone and mosaic tile samples.

Showers and features

Stone &
mosaic

Travertine, pebble and glass mosaic, mostly for showers, floors in small wet rooms and feature areas. Natural stone varies piece to piece, which is the point of it and also the reason to see a real one.

Still deciding

Bring two
or three

Most people are choosing between two or three materials rather than one. Tell us which ones you are torn between and they all come out of the van on the same visit.
